Summer Reading, Internet BFFs AND a Taste of Mrs. Mimi??

DOES IT GET ANY BETTER????

Okay my friends.  I know I owe you some posts, BIG TIME!  However, as this past weekend was our last weekend as two individuals EVER, Mr. Mimi and I spent some time cooking things on grills, sitting on beaches (beached on beaches?), napping and the like.  Can you blame us?  (Okay, maybe you can, but I promise to make it up to you.  For realsies.  In my imagination, I’m going to write AT LEAST two more posts today.)  (I know!)

HOWEVER, I have some very important news to share with you.  Today is a big day for one of the most fabulous bloggers out there in the blogosphere…a blogger who is intelligent, funny, appreciates a good motivational poster with kittens AND (if that wasn’t already enough) happens to be my personal internet BFF!

Her name is Dr. (you should already be impressed ‘cuz I was!) Rebecca Branstetter and her blog is Notes from the School Psychologist.

But that isn’t even the big news yet!  I kid you not!  (Although you should totes check out the blog- talk about informative, smart AND hilarious all in one neat little blog-sized package.)

The big news is….(drumroll please) HER BOOK WAS RELEASED TODAY!!!!

The Teachable Moment: Seizing the Instants When Children Learn (Kaplan Voices Teachers)The Teachable Moment: Seizing the Instants When Children Learn (Kaplan Voices Teachers)The Teachable Moment: Seizing the Instants When Children Learn (Kaplan Voices Teachers)

(Click on the images for links…trust me, you want to click here.)  (Do it for the kids.)

This book is genius people (and I’m not just saying that because Rebecca is a) my internet BFF or b) I contributed a story to the book).  It’s all about that moment when teachers connect with a child…basically the moment we all got into this for.  Brilliantly edited, this book is guar-an-teed to lift your spirits.  I can totally imagine it being your “go-to” book on those days when you want to poke yourself in the eye and need a little pick me up.

I just got my copy today…full review to follow soon!!  Until then, check out the blog AND the book.  (You’re welcome in advance.)

  • Well, it is safe to say that I've never been tagged under "genius" before! I blush. Thanks IBFF!
